Gethsemane means "olive press," which is appropriate considering that it was a grove of olive trees. Going through Gethsemane, the garden where Jesus Christ experienced intense anguish and distress before his crucifixion, is often regarded as a metaphor for going through extremely difficult and challenging times. Why is Gethsemane so hard?
